People back home,
How are you? I am doing well. We had a good week in little old Juneau Alaska. We had a baptism on Saturday. That went very, very well but it was way stressful too. The investigator was running late and kept not coming to the interviews and all that. We were way stressed Saturday. Plus he didn't show up to church on Sunday until almost the end or Sacrament. Oh my goodness it was stressful but so rewarding at the same time. You really can't put into words how you feel being able to teach some one about the church and their Savior and see them change their lives to follow the example of Jesus Christ and then get baptised. I felt to blessed to be apart of something so amazing. I am so thankful for moments like that. That's what makes a mission worth it. During the baptism it was all I could do to keep from crying but I was just praying to Heavenly Father thanking him for letting me be part of this and having the baptism work out. I was just so overcome with emotions. It's something I will always remember.
So Saturday was transfer calls. My companion is leaving to go back to Anchorage. He is training a new guy. I am really sad about that. I really liked my companion and we did a lot of good work together and every one loved us, but I am getting another cool companion. His name is Elder Satini. He is from Tonga. haha. He is fun. We get along good. We have been friends since I got to the mission. So it will be fun. Plus fishing season starts really soon. I can't wait to use my new fishing reel. Woo it's nice. haha. That's what I bought from my favorite store, Cabela's. Sorry I have not sent out the SD cards yet. I thought I would keep them until after the baptism so you could see those pictures to. I will do my best to send it this week.

So that girl is still getting baptised on the 4th of May. She is a good girl and is so ready for the gospel. We are excited. Well I hope all goes well for Nan's funueral. Tell everyone I love them and miss them. I am having fun and doing my best to be a good missionary. Have a great week.

Job offer!

Hey Family and friends,

I had a good week. This last Saturday our investigator got married. It was way cool. He is going to get baptized this Saturday. We had to do a lot of work for the wedding. We had to clean the area where they got married and set up the church for the after party with the help of the Lady's in the ward of course. Then we partied and supported the bride and groom. It was fun. So the other girl we were going to put on date to be baptized, well we had a great lesson with her and invited her to be baptized and she was kind of scared and hesitant at first but she said yes but she did not have a date set. Well she came to church on Sunday and she was all excited and she said her fears have gone away and she wants to be baptized and we set the date for the 30th of this month. We are way excited for her. She is a native and her family is way against her getting baptized but she doesn't care. She does not live at home anyways. So things are going good. Tanner is really busy and kind of falling away right now. He has baseball everyday and is in school so it's hard to meet with him but we are still trying to work with him. He is a great kid and can go way far in life.

So I got offered another job yesterday and I am going to take the job when I get off my mission. This family in my ward owns a fishing guide outfit and they hire returned missionaries to work for them in the summer. It's a sweet job and the pay is good. I will be is Alaska all summer until September. Ever thing is paid for, room and board. All I do is work Monday through Friday and half days on Saturday and then we all fish for fun. Then on Sunday we do church out at the lodge and stuff its way cool. I have always wanted to do something like this and they really want me to come out and work for them. He told me that the job is mine if I want it and he will be keeping in touch with me. The only down fall to this job is I will get home from my mission and the next week I will fly back up here for all summer to work. Ha-ha. Sorry mom. I know you won't like that but I am going to do it. I would love to open my own fishing lodge some day. This will teach me how to do it and I will get good money around $750.00 a week and I get a lot of fish to send home. I am way excited about it and when I am up here I am going to take some college classes online. Then transfer down to Idaho or a community college. I would like to hear what you think about this mom and dad. I will be sending home a DVD about the lodge and I will send the sd cards to.

So the weather has been amazing. Sunny everyday and warm weather. I am really liking it up here. The work is going good. I was really sad to hear about Jerry. Your story mom made me cry. That is so cool. I am glad you were able to experience something like that. Not very many people get to have something like that happen in their lives. Please do his temple work. I have been learning how to do family history and I have started my family tree. It's way cool.

Well I hope you all have a great week. Be the best you can be. I love all of you and I think about everyone in the ward back home often. Sorry that I do not always get letters or emails out to everyone but your letters are much enjoyed. Have a great week.

Hey Family and Friends,

We had a pretty good week I think. We picked up a new investigator and we watched General Conference. Conference was so good. I liked how all of it was about families and what not. It really shows you how important families are in the Church. The world is out to destroy the family and drive us away from each other. I like Elder Uchtdorf's talk about not holding grudges and judging others. His motto was just simple, STOP IT. It truly is just as simple as that. We make the choice to hold a grudge or judge others. It's not our place to do that. It is something I need to work on for sure. There were just so many good things that were shared with us. We had one investigator come watch conference with us at the Church and she started recording it with her iPhone because she liked it so much and she though it was a one-time deal. Lol. She didn't know you can watch them online. It was kind of cool to see that though.

All of the investigators we are working with are doing good. Tanner is way good. He is having a hard time with some stuff at home but we are working with him and he keeps putting more trust and faith in the Lord. He will be a great missionary after he gets baptized. So the Philippino family is well, Rosalie texted me the other day and told me her son Jay got baptized and he really wanted me to know about it. I was way excited. Rosalie and her husband are going to get baptized soon I guess to. They are so cool. So far three people from Palmer that I was working with got baptized. Woo!

I will be sending a SD card home this week. It is full of pictures. I filled it up this week so ya I hope you like the pictures. Have you got a box yet? There is a family in Palmer that is supposed to be sending you something. You will have to see what it is when you get it. It's way cool. Anyways I am way excited for fishing season. It is taking too long to get here. I just want to catch a 50 pound king and totally show it off because only in the coolest mission in the world can you do that. AKA Alaska. Ha-ha!

So that's cool that Avary moved into my room. I don't care. She is not allowed to paint the walls purple though. So my big TV gave up the ghost? Dang that's crazy. O well. Hey be sure to tell Nan I love her very much and that we will see each other again. This is not the end only the beginning. So grandpa Bloom has back problems? I hope I don't get that way when I get old. Ha-ha. Poor guy. Love ya Gramps.

Well I do not have much else to say. Have a good week. Remember who you are and stand in holy places.
